"Creativity is intelligence having fun." ~Albert Einstein
From the beginning to almost the end of 2019, I've been ecstatic, motivated, and definitely had ambition to enhance my horizons in what I love to do in my spare time. I tried many new things in art, learned a lot from others who are a lot better than I am, and became involved in community-oriented activities with art. I love the people I worked with this year and inspiring they are and helped me to grow more and more. Things that I thought would be a little challenging to do is becoming more fun and no matter what, it is critical to think that. So, 2019 has been a good year for moving along in art.
One new thing specifically comes to mind first is the support from friends and family to start a business in creating invitations (weddings, events, etc.), so I'm excited to share progress and update with homemade designs in the future!
Enrollment in community-centered visual art groups with amateur and professional artists is another thing to be thankful for as the next step in moving forward. Just meeting everyone with a great skill in sculpture, painting, ceramics, illustration, etc. was a simple pleasure. After a couple of years of volunteer work at the PRAA in Paso Robles, California, I'm hoping to get a chance to get active again by applying to the Pend Oreille Arts Council in Northern Idaho next year. So happy to relocate near an arts-friendly sort of place!
One last thing: I'm excited to see what 2020 brings, and, as another year passes, I will still learn. From the basics to advanced information, I'll enjoy it and not stress on becoming more better than someone. I won't reach the height of fame as Monet, Kinkade, or Wheeler, but I'm perfectly content. And that's one thing I feel is important.
Happy almost New Years, and move forward with a joyous attitude and keep a creative mind!
