Hello!

My name is Elena, and I enjoy the process of creating beautiful pieces of 2D artwork! Traditional techniques and subjects is what I favor, but I will do an abstract work on occasion.

What I work with is watercolor, oils, acrylics, and some dry media such as graphite, pastel, and charcoal. I love how each of these work in their own way, so it is hard to choose a favorite!

Please go into contact information if you have any questions, and enjoy looking in my gallery!

Brief Biography

Elena Wise studied and practiced art since she was homeschooled, putting her work in the annual Art and Science Fairs at Advanced Christian Training Schools, and also the Paso Robles Library Art Show.  She also took weekend watercolor and mixed media classes at CalPoly, as part of an Extended Education program.

After graduating high school, she enrolled to Cuesta College in the Fall of 2016, majoring in Studio Arts. During her first few semesters, she studied art history, 2-D design, painting, and drawing, and hoping to concentrate on her major requirements next spring.

She's done volunteer work at the Paso Robles Art Association, located in Paso Robles in the local Studios Gallery. She was  involved with it's special events, painting guilds, managing the exhibit, and putting her artwork in the monthly shows.

Elena Wise was immersed in and self-taught herself drawing basics since she was homeschooled in ACTS, emphasizing on a variety of illustrations and picture stories. Later she began oil painting education, enabling her to continue studying art throughout her homeschool years and progressively relearning her old techniques. Additionally, she studied for an associates in Studio Art at Cuesta College starting in 2016, focusing on beginning and intermediate levels of art principles, drawing, painting, and second-dimensional art.

On a recreational and professional note, she has also spent valuable time volunteering at Studios on the Park, a gallery in Paso Robles, California since 2018. She was also involved with the monthly Paso Robles Art Association members-only visual arts exhibition and awards night.

Specific mediums she works with are oils, watercolors, some acrylic, and dry media. Subsequently, her thematic style correllates with vast traditionalism, inspired by most Old Masters and modern classical painters.
